Professional Experience

Carolina Slythe is an associate attorney with a primary focus on family law litigation. Barred in Oregon in May 2010, Carolina began her legal career practicing family law in Oregon before continuing that work in Denver, Colorado. She later spent approximately seven years practicing immigration law, where she handled highly complex, courtroom-intensive litigation involving vulnerable clients and high-stakes outcomes. That background sharpened her strategic thinking, advocacy skills, and ability to navigate emotionally charged legal matters with precision and care.

Carolina has owned and operated her own law practices in both Oregon and Colorado, bringing an entrepreneurial mindset and practical problem-solving approach to her work. She returned to Portland—where she is proud to call home—to continue representing family law clients with a style that is firm, thoughtful, and deeply client-centered.
In family law matters, Carolina is known for being strategic and prepared to litigate, while working diligently to resolve cases efficiently and diplomatically. She excels in custody disputes and approaches each case with the goal of achieving her client’s objectives through careful planning, persuasive advocacy, and smart negotiation. While always ready for court, Carolina’s cases often resolve favorably without trial because she builds leverage early and uses it effectively.
